Slot Attendant Opportunity at River Rock Casino Resort

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused individual to join our Slot team at River Rock Casino Resort. As a Slot Attendant, you will play a key role in providing exceptional guest support services and ensuring a fun and high-energy environment for all our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor and observe slot players and machines, offering assistance and advice on various types of games and machines.
  • Act as a front-line customer service liaison, answering questions and creating a positive experience for our guests.
  • Perform routine procedures with slot machine printers, bill validators, and other equipment.
  • Reset machines after jackpot processing, change bills, and reserve machines for Slot players.
  • Fill ticket printers, re-stock ticket paper, and verify and pay off jackpots and cancel credits.
  • Seek out and address customer needs and machine problems, promoting a positive and supportive environment.
  • Assist with awareness of and excitement for on-going and up-coming Casino promotions, promoting BC Gold Encore Card membership and usage.
  • Provide prompt, courteous service to ensure guests have an enjoyable gaming experience.
  • Ensure tidiness of the assigned area at all times, maintaining control over assigned keys and PTM card.
  • Work in compliance with internal controls, company policies, and procedures, reporting any violations and escalating to the appropriate level as necessary.
  • Acquire and maintain a strong knowledge of all Slot operations policies and procedures, as well as various types of Slot machines.
  • Participate in a professional, constructive, and supportive environment, preserving Casino and guest confidentiality.
Requirements:
  • Available to work in a variety of shifts, including evenings, graveyards, and weekends, as we operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
  • Cash handling experience and manual dexterity, technical aptitude, and trouble-shooting ability are assets.
  • Basic knowledge of slot machine functions is an asset, as is superior interpersonal, communication, and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, multitask, and use two-way radios, maintaining professional radio etiquette.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced, busy environment, work well under pressure, and adhere to high standards, methods, and procedures of gaming at GCE.
  • Serving It Right certificate required, as well as a commitment to continually increase knowledge of products and services to offer exceptional experiences to guests.
  • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective, and service-oriented communication.

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including graveyards, weekends, and holidays, with hours based on operational and business needs.
