About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cage Cashier to join our team at CB Canada. As a key member of our gaming operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cash Handling and Administration: Handle cash transactions, including foreign currency exchange, traveler's cheques, short pays, over payments, cash counts, coins, and bills.
  • Discrepancy Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and report all discrepancies and suspicious cash activities.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to our guests, including redeeming value chips and gaming tickets for cash, selling racing tickets, vouchers, racing programs, and value chips as required.
  • Transaction Processing: Verify and process machine fills, machine jackpots, cancelled credits, table fills, and credits.
  • Float Management: Issue opening floats to Slot Attendants, reconcile closing floats, transfer and store floats, keys, and record-keeping documents.
  • Transaction Documentation and Reconciliation: Document and reconcile transactions, including bank deposits and prepare revenue reports.
  • Cash Counting and Verification: Count bills, coins, and cash equivalents, verify and reconcile before and after counts.
  • Reporting and Communication: Provide information for reporting purposes, communicate effectively with all operational departments, and build strong working relationships with internal and external guests.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Requirements: Comply with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma; post-secondary education an asset. Minimum 1 year of experience in high-volume cash handling and counting.
  • Certifications and Training: Serving It Right Certification or the ability to achieve a Serving It Right Certification. Ability to successfully pass a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to use physical exertion to push and pull carts on a consistent basis. Ability to stand and walk for all periods of time on a consistent basis. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items on a consistent basis.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to operate a computer, ten-key adding machine, and money counter.
