About the Role

Crew Transportation Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and Administer Network Infrastructure: Ensure the stability and security of our network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks.
  • Troubleshoot Network Issues: Identify and resolve network-related problems, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Evaluate and Install Hardware and Software: Assess and implement new computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to improve network performance and security.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer expert assistance to network users, resolving technical issues and providing guidance on network-related matters.
  • Implement Security Measures: Develop and enforce data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Perform Data Backups and Disaster Recovery: Ensure the integrity of our data by performing regular backups and implementing disaster recovery procedures.
  • Configure Network Connections: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Optimize Network Performance: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance to ensure efficient network operations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Environment: Work under pressure, perform repetitive tasks, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Personal Suitability: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, and able to work in a team environment.
