Job Summary

Crew Transportation Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Network Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and administering our local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, and computer workstations and peripheral equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Maintenance and Administration: Ensure the stability and security of our network infrastructure, including LANs, WANs, and mainframe networks.
  • Hardware and Software Evaluation and Installation: Assess and implement computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software to optimize network performance.
  • Problem-Solving and Support: Provide timely and effective problem-solving services to network users, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement data, software, and hardware security procedures to protect our network and sensitive information.
  • Backup and Recovery: Perform regular data backups and disaster recovery operations to ensure business continuity.
  • Network Setup and Configuration: Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet, ensuring seamless communication and data exchange.
  • Performance Optimization: Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance to ensure efficient network operations.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in network support and administration.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, and able to work under pressure.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week.
