We are seeking an experienced and skilled Cook to join our team at Alberta Ltd.

About the Job:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and Cook Complete Meals or Individual Dishes and Foods: Our ideal candidate will have the ability to prepare and cook a variety of dishes, from complete meals to individual items, using a range of cooking techniques and ingredients.
  • Inspect Kitchens and Food Service Areas: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and food service areas, ensuring that all equipment and utensils are clean and in good working order.
  • Train Staff in Preparation, Cooking and Handling of Food: As part of our ongoing commitment to staff development, we require an experienced chef to train new staff members in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Order Supplies and Equipment: You will be responsible for ordering supplies and equipment as needed, ensuring that the kitchen is well-stocked with everything required to maintain high standards of service.
  • Supervise Kitchen Staff and Helpers: As a key member of our kitchen team, you will provide guidance and support to junior staff members, helping them to develop their skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain Inventory and Records of Food, Supplies and Equipment: The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of inventory levels, including food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring that we always have what we need to deliver excellent service.
  • Clean Kitchen and Work Areas: Maintaining a clean and organized kitchen is essential to delivering high-quality food and excellent customer service. You will be expected to keep all areas of the kitchen and surrounding workspaces tidy and clean.
  • Manage Kitchen Operations: As a senior member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for managing kitchen operations, including planning menus, scheduling staff, and overseeing day-to-day activities.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year

  • Estimated Salary: $40,000 - $55,000 per year, based on experience
