Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Project Coordinator to support project/program/change interventions, implementation, and operations of priority initiatives in collaboration with our build and implementation teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate activities of Project Teams, identify risks with mitigation strategies
  • Develop and implement structures, processes, and tools to enable ETHP priority initiatives
  • Support change management on the ground with clinicians, administrators, and ETHP partners
  • Ensure work plans are designed to progress projects in complex and ambiguous environments with multiple competing perspectives
  • Support the completion of project deliverables
  • Support complex projects through defining project scope, priorities, deadlines, and deliverable schedules or work plans
  • Support the use of data to inform project plans and strategies
  • Monitor and ensure project deliverables are met on time
  • Build project tools and processes for the execution of initiatives
  • Complete and update project work plans and dashboards
  • Facilitate project-related meetings, develop project reports, presentations, statistics, and other related documents
  • Utilize and promote tools and templates to support project management best practices
  • Support and build frameworks for project monitoring and evaluation
  • Align with other ETHP initiatives, including but not limited to those related to homecare modernization, neighbourhood care strategies, primary care attachment
  • Develop a process for identifying and sharing system-level barriers impacting work of integrated care
  • Strengthen partner relationships
  • Provide administrative support for ETHP's integrated care program operations as required

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • University degree in a related field (public health, health promotion, health sciences, sociology, or health/business administration) or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification preferred or project management experience required
  • A minimum of 2-3 years related project management experience, including planning skills, draft work plans, work collaboratively with partners and other team members, and manage deadlines and competing priorities
  • Understanding of local health issues, priorities, and needs
  • Front-line health or social service provider experience preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication and presentation skills, including ability to plan and implement engagement meetings and resolve issues/concerns
  • Experience designing and implementing process improvement projects in a healthcare setting
  • Results-oriented with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Data analysis and ability to break down data to inform decision-making
  • Familiarity with Ontario digital health tools and health information systems (primary care EMRs and hospital information systems)
  • Experience in data collection and analysis, and in using health equity frameworks
  • Experience using continuous quality improvement methodologies and tools
  • Prior working experience developing and implementing project plans, programs, support tools, and processes in a healthcare setting
