Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Job Summary:

WRHA Community Health Services is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to provide administrative support to senior Directors/Managers. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and prioritizing administrative activities, ensuring timely completion of tasks, and providing exceptional support to the team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and prioritize administrative activities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Provide administrative support to senior Directors/Managers, including typing, formatting, and proofreading documents.
  • Assist with the monitoring and analysis of operating budgets and expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain databases, including data collection and entry, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Perform payroll functions and monitor position control information.
  • Provide direction to junior employees, including workload delegation, on-the-job training, and performance appraisals.

Requirements:

  • Five years of directly related experience required.
  • Previous healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience scheduling and coordinating meetings, recording and preparing minutes and agendas, and maintaining spreadsheets and databases.
  • Experience with email and computerized calendars.
  • Complete high school education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Formal training in applied office skills required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Typing speed of 65 wpm.
  • Proficiency with computerized systems, including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize, assign, and supervise the work of junior employees.

Physical Requirements:

  • Required to work for long periods of time at a computer.
