Event Marketing Specialist

Canada Inc. (Platinum Events) is seeking a highly skilled Event Marketing Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our events, as well as overseeing the preparation of public written materials.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events
- Oversee the preparation of public written materials
- Evaluate communication strategies and programs
- Implement communication strategies and programs
- Supervise staff and train them on event marketing and communication
- Act as spokesperson for the organization
- Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys
- Design, conduct, and analyze research projects
- Conduct online marketing, e-commerce, and website promotions
- Solicit event donors and review bids and negotiate costs
- Research and design special events programs
- Prepare, present, and manage budgets
- Plan for required documentation and pre- and post-distribution of documentation
- Plan for traffic and crowd control and security
- Plan for translation and interpretation services
- Plan schedules, goals, and objectives
- Implement registration systems
- Develop policies and procedures and attend to other management responsibilities
- Develop risk management plans and financial procedures
- Confirm and coordinate speakers and arrange for shipping, receiving, and storage
- Plan for VIP arrangements and manage event logistics
- Coordinate media services and monitor conference and meeting activities
- Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers
- Identify human resources requirements and plan and oversee webinars
- Assist in preparing financial reports and administer revenues and expenditures
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in event marketing and communication
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Willingness to relocate and relocation costs covered by employer
