Job Title: Event Marketing Specialist

Canada Inc. (Platinum Events) is seeking a highly skilled Event Marketing Specialist to join our team. As an Event Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote our events and increase brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote events and increase brand awareness
  • Evaluate communication strategies and programs to ensure effectiveness
  • Implement communication strategies and programs to achieve marketing goals
  • Oversee the preparation of public written material, including press releases, social media posts, and event promotional materials
  • Prepare bibliographies, indexes, reading lists, guides, and other finding aids to support event planning
  • Produce educational and publicity programs and informational materials to awaken curiosity and interest in the subject matter
  • Publicize activities, workshops, meetings, and other events for fundraising or information purposes
  • Supervise staff and train them on marketing and event planning best practices
  • Act as spokesperson for the organization and respond to written and oral inquiries
  • Conduct public opinion and attitude surveys to inform marketing strategies
  • Design, conduct, and analyze quantitative and qualitative research projects to evaluate marketing effectiveness
  • Conduct online marketing, E-commerce, and Website promotions to reach a wider audience
  • Solicit event donors and review bids and negotiate costs to ensure budget efficiency
  • Research and design special events programs to engage target audiences
  • Prepare, present, and manage budgets to ensure financial sustainability
  • Plan for required documentation and pre- and post-distribution of documentation (itineraries, evaluations, etc.)
  • Plan for traffic and crowd control and security to ensure event safety
  • Plan for translation and interpretation services to cater to diverse audiences
  • Plan schedules, goals, and objectives to achieve marketing and event planning goals
  • Implement registration systems to track event attendance and engagement
  • Develop policies and procedures and attend to other management responsibilities to ensure smooth event execution
  • Develop risk management plans to mitigate potential event risks
  • Develop financial procedures to ensure budget management and control
  • Confirm and coordinate speakers to ensure engaging and informative events
  • Arrange for shipping, receiving, and storage to ensure event logistics
  • Plan for VIP arrangements to ensure dignified treatment of special guests
  • Manage Event Logistics to ensure seamless event execution
  • Coordinate media services to ensure effective event promotion
  • Coordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
  • Recruit, hire, and supervise staff and/or volunteers to support event planning and execution
  • Identify human resources requirements to ensure adequate staffing
  • Plan and oversee Webinars to engage target audiences
  • Assist in preparing financial reports to ensure transparency and accountability
  • Administer revenues and expenditures to ensure financial sustainability
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in event marketing, publicity, or a related field
