General Manager Job Description

In Demand Recruitment & Consulting Inc. is seeking a seasoned General Manager to lead our Courtland, ON client's operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute long-range company strategy, performance goals, and tactical execution of annual business plans.
  • Lead the management team in developing multiple year strategic plans and annual operating plans covering new product development, P&L elements, balance sheets, capital spending, cash flow, and inventory plans.
  • Drive Lean Enterprise and 80/20 initiatives to improve organizational capability, project execution, and quality delivery.
  • Oversee Compliance, Quality Systems, and manufacturing standards to ensure certification and re-certification requirements are met.
  • Participate in the Talent Review process to ensure proper management action is taken to move the organization forward.
  • Support the company's Enterprise Risk Management process and Long-Term Financial Model development.
  • Engage with customers and dealers to understand market trends and leverage shifts in the competitive landscape.
  • Act as a goodwill ambassador for corporate, delivering corporate messaging, identifying engagement opportunities, and providing feedback.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 10-15 years of experience in Operations, Product Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, Materials, Quality Systems, and Human Resources in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing multiple levels of customer relationships in a dealer environment is an asset.
  • Ability to demonstrate sound interpretation of financial documentation and associated analysis.
  • Experience in manufacturing planning and sales cyclicality.
  • Knowledge of Heavy Equipment Systems is preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office suite.
