Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Waste Management Specialist to join our team at Dillon Consulting. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for assisting in solid waste projects related to waste diversion programs, waste management planning and approvals, and waste management facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist project managers and liaise with waste management specialists, engineers, environmental scientists, and others on a variety of multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Perform assessments, calculations, data collection, and data analysis to support planning and engineering activities.
  • Coordinate and manage project tasks, budgets and schedules.
  • Field work related to construction observation, data collection, and inspection.

Requirements

  • A degree in engineering, environmental sciences or planning.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in solid waste management, preferably within a consulting environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, and keen attention to detail.
  • Aptitude to learn.
  • Ability to understand and work with relevant provincial and federal environmental legislation, environmental policies, codes and standards.
