Job Description

The Manager, Policy and Planning Services will play a key role in establishing a fit-for-purpose engineering work process, with a focus on continuous improvement and meeting required governance. This includes overseeing the development of design work processes and applicable procedures, ensuring that engineering activities are performed in accordance with approved policies, standards, programs, procedures, and applicable rules, regulations, codes, and standards.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, with experience managing projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. A university degree or college diploma in engineering, or an equivalent field of study, is required. Ten (10) years' experience working in a project delivery environment, including three years in a process improvement role, is also necessary.

Licensed Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada, member in good standing, and Project Management Professional (PMP) certifications are assets. The ability to analyze performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, working knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, and/or Agile methodologies, and strong leadership skills are essential for success in this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Project management experience, including planning, execution, and monitoring
