About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for purchasing equipment, materials, and services for multiple business lines, negotiating pricing and terms with suppliers, and maintaining effective business controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Purchase and manage procurement of goods and services
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
  • Provide procurement advice and guidance to business units
  • Support inventory management and reporting
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in Memorial University's Bachelor of Commerce (co-operative) program
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • Supply chain or procurement experience
  • Knowledge of SAP or other procurement software
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly
