Claims Investigator

Job Summary:
The Travelers Companies, Inc. is seeking a skilled Claims Investigator to join our team. As a Claims Investigator, you will be responsible for investigating and evaluating claims to determine coverage available to policyholders and claimants for both Personal Insurance and Business Insurance ABI claims.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate and evaluate claims to determine coverage, damages, and liability
- Handle claims of low to moderate severity and complexity
- Act as primary contact for customers and intermediary between parties
- Conduct prompt investigation of coverage and liability
- Manage claims within company averages based on type of claim and complexity
- Review policy conditions, provisions, and endorsements for losses
- Maintain diary system for proactive file management
- Identify salvage and subrogation opportunities
- Determine appropriate settlement amounts based on various factors
- Provide excellent customer service and meet quality standards
- Comply with provincial regulations
- Perform other duties as required
Requirements:
- University Degree/College Diploma or equivalent experience
- Enrollment in the CIP program is an asset
- Proficiency with Windows-based programs
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Customer service orientation and empathy
- Adjusters license as required
- Math and negotiation skills
- Hardware and software skills for claim technology
