Job Description

Neo Financial is seeking a highly skilled Investigations Manager to lead our Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. As a strategic leader, you will be responsible for implementing best practices, coaching and mentoring a team of AML Investigators, and driving process improvement to reduce false positives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of AML Investigators to identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering.
  • Manage the completion and review of high-quality investigations, ensuring objective collection of facts and context.
  • Proactively monitor and communicate trends in money laundering patterns and typology optimization.
  • Contribute to Neo's culture of compliance by fostering an understanding of money laundering indicators within internal teams.
  • Drive process improvement through innovation, ensuring risks of non-compliance are identified and mitigated.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in AML Investigations, with 2+ years in a leadership position.
  • Extensive subject matter expertise in drafting and reviewing Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs).
  • Demonstrated experience working with banking and/or fintech systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Canadian AML legislation, including FINTRAC, OSFI, and PCMLTFA.
  • Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or equivalent designation is an asset.
  • University degree in Law, Business, Economics, Management, or other relevant fields is an asset.
