About the Position:

We are seeking an exceptional scholar to fill the position of Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. The successful candidate will have a strong research portfolio and the ability to build an internationally recognized research program that attracts outstanding graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish a vibrant and innovative research program in machine learning and AI with applications to various disciplines
  • Obtain competitively awarded external research funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and other granting agencies
  • Train the next generation of scientists and innovators through mentorship and research supervision
  • Contribute to the development of the University's research strategy and initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. (or equivalent) in a relevant field
  • Within 10 years of receiving their highest degree
  • Exceptional emerging researcher with a strong potential to lead in their field
