About the Position:
The University of Lethbridge invites applications for the position of Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence. This is an exceptional opportunity for an emerging researcher to join our faculty and contribute to the growth of our research capacity in machine learning and AI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish an internationally recognized research program in machine learning and AI with applications to any discipline.
- Obtain competitively awarded external research funding from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) and other granting agencies.
- Train the next generation of scientists and innovators through a vibrant, innovative, and collaborative research program.
Requirements:
- Hold a PhD in a relevant field and be within 10 years of receiving their highest degree.
- Be an exceptional emerging researcher, acknowledged by their peers as having the potential to lead in their field.
- Have a strong research portfolio and a comprehensive Canada Research Chair vision statement and research plan.
- Have experience in research mentorship, teaching, and advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and decolonization in their practices.
