Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Day-to-Day Operations: Prioritize tasks, manage human resources, conduct performance reviews, interview candidates, and assign work to team members.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work with other Team Managers and Business Line leaders to staff and equip the lab.
  • Support Talent Development: Hire, train, and develop technicians and engineers.
  • Liaison for Test Programs: Coordinate test programs within the functional area.
  • Provide Technical Support: Assist Account Managers and Program Managers with technical queries.
  • Schedule Personnel and Equipment: Schedule personnel and equipment for testing.
  • Ensure Project Success: Ensure project safety, quality, timing, and budgets are met.
  • Review Technical Reports: Review technical reports and maintain confidentiality.
  • Stay Updated: Stay updated on product requirements, test procedures, and technology.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of supervisory/leadership experience, minimum 5 years of test lab experience, and minimum 5 years of experience with automotive customers.
  • Skills: Technical/engineering expertise in test plans, operations, and equipment, leadership, revenue generation, and customer satisfaction skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, excellent communication and teamwork abilities, and a positive attitude and self-motivation.
