Job Title: Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to join our team at Stonehenge Transport Ltd.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to our team, including evaluating daily operations, supervising other workers, and training new employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate daily operations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
  • Supervise and train other workers to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge
  • Determine and establish office procedures and routines to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
  • Schedule and confirm appointments, answer telephone calls and relay messages
  • Oversee the analysis of employee data and information, and respond to employee questions and complaints
  • Order office supplies and maintain inventory, and perform basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Negotiate collective agreements on behalf of employers or workers, and oversee payroll administration
  • Greet people and direct them to contacts or service areas, and set up and maintain manual and computerized information filing systems
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in an administrative role
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
Work Setting

The successful candidate will work in a trucking company environment, with a permanent work term and 40 hours of work per week.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
