Technical Operations Program Specialist Role Overview

Vancouver-based position expected to work in-office.

About the Role

This is a challenging opportunity for a dedicated and results-driven Program Specialist to join our team at Expedia Group. In this role, you will serve as the bridge between business needs and external technology providers, working to drive increased adoption across diverse stakeholders including Franchisees, Consultants, Consumers, and the Corporate Support Team.

You will be involved with several third-party platforms including our cruise, air, and hotel booking platform (powered by Odysseus), omni-channel phone system, consumer website, and more. This demands a unique combination of business acumen and technical proficiency, enabling you to effectively introduce new functionalities, resolve challenges, prioritize effectively, and foster broader adoption among stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be a subject matter expert for several of our third-party technical solutions (including booking platforms, CRM system, etc.)
  • Represent the voice of Expedia Cruises' business needs and various stakeholders (corporate team, franchisees, consultants, customers)
  • Drive overall awareness and adoption of these third-party platforms throughout the organization through communication, training support, documentation, and more.
  • Troubleshoot, problem solve, and improve – you'll dive deep into issues and identify solutions or create bug/feature tickets and see through completion
  • Manage new feature rollouts and feedback loops to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Provide regular, clear, and concise status updates to stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Report on key metrics and share key insights and findings
Requirements
  • 3-5 years experience in program management or program support
  • Expertise in problem-solving, project coordination, planning, process development, and improvement skills
  • Degree in business or related discipline
  • Highly organized and able to adapt to changing needs with excellent attention to detail
  • Solid interpersonal skills including cross-functional team collaboration and service-oriented
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in complex scenarios
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving are required traits
Compensation

The estimated total cash range for this position in Vancouver is $71,500.00 to $100,000.00, with potential to increase up to $114,500.00 based on ongoing performance. Starting pay will vary based on multiple factors including location, available budget, and individual knowledge, skills, and experience.
