At Vancouver Coastal Health, we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Program Support Specialist to join our team in Mental Health and Substance Use. This role will provide essential administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our programs.

As a Program Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing administrative assistance to program staff, including scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and preparing correspondence.
  • Transcribing medical dictations and typing various documents using specialized software applications.
  • Receiving clients, providing information, and responding to inquiries in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Maintaining accurate statistical records for workload monitoring and program planning.
  • Coordinating referrals, scheduling appointments, and confirming client sessions.
  • Preparing and editing materials such as correspondence, assessments, and discharge reports.

To succeed in this role, you will require:

  • A Grade 12 diploma and completion of an approved program in Medical Transcription and/or Medical Office Administration Certificate.
  • One year of recent experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

We offer a competitive salary range of $25.04 - $27.63 per hour, depending on experience. In addition to your hourly wage, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including extended health and dental coverage, and a municipal pension plan.
