Job Summary

We are seeking a Health Care Aide to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Health Care Aide, you will be responsible for assisting clients with personal care and providing basic supportive care as directed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide basic supportive care, such as feeding, toileting, and transferring
  • Work collaboratively with the health care team to provide high-quality care to clients
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Requirements
  • Previous client care experience required
  • Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Community or geriatric experience preferred
  • Knowledge of the Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), and Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) required
