Sustainability Leader

We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Sustainability Leader to join our team at Arc'teryx Limited. As the Vice President of Sustainability, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our global sustainability strategy, driving positive change across our organization, and fostering a culture of commitment to our vision.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability roadmap out to 2028, aligning with our organizational strategy and goals.
- Lead a high-performing sustainability leadership team, collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability principles into product development, supply chain management, and corporate operations.
- Act as a cultural leader, fostering trust and transparency of our sustainability practices throughout the company and serving as an ambassador for our core values and behaviors.
- Collaborate with Arc'teryx senior leadership to seamlessly integrate sustainability into our organizational strategy, advocating for and navigating change leadership.
- Partner with Amer Sports Group and the sustainability teams of our sister brands to share best practices and maintain collaboration of our common goals.
- Define and direct forward-thinking metrics, ensuring consistent and credible reporting on our sustainability initiatives and science-based targets.
- Develop impactful communications related to our sustainability impact locally and globally, partnering with our communications team.
- Lead regular risk prioritization and sustainability maturity and materiality assessments, following industry best practices.
- Spearhead the development and execution of innovative sustainability strategies, positioning us at the forefront of global sustainability practices.
- Establish partnerships with external organizations and industry leaders to advance sustainability efforts and drive industry-wide change.
- 15+ years' experience in leading brand sustainability programs, with a degree in sustainability, environmental science, or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of chemical, materials, and product environmental impacts, with a commitment to ongoing learning.
- Experience with complex project management, including coordinating multi-stakeholder interests and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to set a clear vision, align teams around common objectives, and foster commitment to these objectives.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to make decisions and take calculated risks.
- Highly flexible and adaptable, with the ability to navigate ambiguity.
- Passion for sustainability, matched by a passion for getting outside and living it.
A competitive salary range of CAD$216- CAD$270,000, determined by factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and/or training. A dynamic and inclusive work environment, connected to our core value of Do Right, and the added benefit of helping make our business better.
