Job Title: Registered Counsellor Therapist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Counsellor Therapist to join our team at pt Health. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality counselling services to clients with diverse needs and backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling services to clients with mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Conduct assessments, progress monitoring, and discharge planning to ensure optimal client outcomes.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team conferences to discuss client progress, goals, and challenges.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of client interactions, including progress notes and treatment plans.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Counselling or a related field.
- Registration with the Nova Scotia College of Registered Counselling Therapists (NSCRT) or the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers (NSCSW).
- Experience working with diverse populations, including adults, children, and families.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based counselling theories and practices, including CBT, ACT, and CPT.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
