Clinical Workstream Supervisor Job DescriptionAbout the Role

This position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management of a clinical workstream, ensuring the delivery of high-quality operational services. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of healthcare operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Management
  • Review and manage operational plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Oversee the workload of the workstream's operational team members and provide guidance to meet business needs.
  • Communicate goals and expectations to staff to ensure they support the broader process/operation.
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate/resolve risks and issues.
  • Monitor team productivity, progress, and effectiveness against established performance metrics and operational KPIs.
Operations
  • Engage with internal clients and regional stakeholders to understand and address current and future operational needs for the workstream.
  • Collaborate on team structure and staffing/competency mix based on operational needs and special projects.
  • Facilitate regional working groups to discuss the status of key deliverables, shared issues, end-users' concerns, and upcoming milestones impacting clinical and non-clinical workflows.
  • SUPPORT team compliance with regional incident management, change control operational policies, and standard operating procedures.
Team Development
  • Develop staff as required to execute workstream strategy.
  • Create an environment for personal development so that each member of the team can maximize their potential.
  • Lead, guide, and coach the team on educational opportunities.
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of annual performance objectives for team members.
Requirements

Community College Diploma (3-year program) or equivalent. Licensed as a Regulated Health Care Professional in Canada. University Degree or equivalent (preferred). 5+ years of relevant experience in managing teams. 5-7 years of significant position-related experience (preferred). Strong knowledge of processes and workflows in one or more departments or units. Experience leading teams, overseeing implementation or improvement initiatives within your respective unit or departments.
