Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Datacenter Inventory Specialist to join our team at Microsoft. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers to initiate warranty claims and process failed vendor hardware devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely processing of warranty claims.
  • Work closely with suppliers to resolve any issues related to warranty claims and inventory management.
  • Collaborate with data center colleagues to ensure effective inventory control and management practices.
  • Perform cycle audits and data corrections to ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Microsoft policies.
  • Ensure detailed physical inventory tracking and staging.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma AND 6 months experience or an internship in inventory management, retail, warehouse management, or a related field.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years' experience in warehouse/supply chain in an information technology (IT) environment, IT, and/or logistics, operating heavy-load movement equipment (e.g., forklift, pallet jacks, chassis lifts) for a large corporation.
