Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team at A-1 Cash and Carry. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse and inventory management systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments to ensure efficient inventory management
  • Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and other relevant metrics
  • Ensure the proper maintenance and repair of computer equipment and machinery
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work to minimize downtime and optimize productivity
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality
  • Recruit and hire staff as needed to support inventory management operations
  • Train workers in duties and policies related to inventory management
  • Conduct performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient use of resources
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed to support inventory management operations
  • Organize and maintain inventory records to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
  • Establish work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient inventory management
  • Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization to ensure seamless inventory management
Work Environment

A-1 Cash and Carry is a fast-paced retail business with a warehouse and wholesaler operations. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will work in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines and heavy loads. You must be able to work effectively in a team environment and have excellent attention to detail.

Requirements
  • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in inventory management or a related field
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask
