Job Title: PACS Clinical Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PACS Clinical Administrator to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and related clinical information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the PACS system, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on the use of PACS and related systems.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to identify and implement process improvements and optimize clinical workflows.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for PACS and related systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Valid registration and membership in good standing with CMRTO.
  • Post-secondary education in healthcare or technology-related field.
  • CAHIMS or CPHIMS certification an asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic imaging environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Sectra PACS, Synapse CV, Powerscribe, and Meditech.
  • Knowledge of hospital and clinic workflow, routines, processes, and documentation requirements.
  • Experience in health informatics, computer science, and/or related fields.
