Job Title: PACS Clinical Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced PACS Clinical Administrator to join our team at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and other healthcare information systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the PACS system, ensuring optimal performance and uptime.
  • Provide technical support and training to healthcare staff on the use of PACS and other healthcare information systems.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to identify and implement process improvements and optimize workflow.
  • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures for the use of PACS and other healthcare information systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Valid registration and membership in good standing with the Canadian Medical and Biological Engineering Society (CMBES).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field, preferably in a hospital or diagnostic imaging department.
  • Strong technical skills, including experience with PACS systems and healthcare information systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with healthcare staff and other stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • CAHIMS (Certified Associate in Healthcare Information and Management Systems) or CPHIMS (Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems) certification.
  • Experience with Sectra PACS, Synapse CV, Powerscribe, and Meditech systems.
  • Knowledge of hospital and clinic workflow, routines, processes, and documentation requirements.
