eTeam is seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Implementation Business Analyst to join our team in Montreal, QC. The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in data governance or data privacy and as a business analyst.

The salary for this position is estimated to be between $120,000 and $150,000 per year, depending on experience.

Job Description:

Data Governance Implementation

The Data Governance Implementation Business Analyst will support data protection activities, reporting functionally to the Data Privacy & Protection Manager. Key responsibilities include driving and contributing to the team implementation of the data office framework, ensuring its execution and maintenance, and working in close collaboration with business partners, technology, and other stakeholders.

Data Privacy

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of data privacy procedures and guidelines in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Work with legal, IT, compliance, and security teams to ensure data privacy measures are integrated across all functions and that there is proper governance of personal data.
  • Contribute to the maintenance of the inventory of data processing activities, ensuring proper documentation and categorization of personal data being collected, stored, or shared.
  • Evaluate potential risks related to data processing activities and third-party vendor data handling and recommend mitigations to reduce exposure.
  • Manage and respond to data subject access requests (DSARs) and ensure proper processes are in place to allow individuals to exercise their rights under privacy laws.
  • Facilitate Privacy Impact Assessments to ensure the organization's data processing activities meet privacy standards.
  • Training and Awareness: Conduct regular privacy awareness training for employees to educate them about best practices and regulatory obligations related to data privacy.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

~ Bachelor's degree from accredited university

~ 5-7 years of professional experience ideally in data governance or data privacy and as a business analyst

~ Preferred experience in data management, governance, privacy, controls, or process improvement

~ Experience preparing senior management presentations and large data sets

~ Elevated level of ability in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
