About the Role

Destinationone Consulting is seeking a skilled Medical Office Administrator to manage the daily operations of a healthcare facility, ensuring efficient administrative processes and providing exceptional service to patients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee administrative functions, including scheduling, patient registration, and medical record management.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and maintain confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Coordinate patient appointments and manage the scheduling system to optimize workflow and minimize wait times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service as the primary point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and concerns.
  • Manage billing and insurance processes, verifying patient insurance coverage and processing claims.
  • Supervise administrative staff, providing training, support, and performance evaluations to foster a productive work environment.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.
  • Maintain office supplies and equipment, managing inventory and vendor relationships as needed.
Requirements
  • Associates degree in Health Administration, Business Administration, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare setting, with at least two years in an administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, billing procedures, and healthcare regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail.
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and office software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing compassionate patient care.
