About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Scrum Master to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Scrum Master, you will play a key role in championing a customer-focused culture and leading the development team to adopt an agile mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coach the development team to adopt agile principles and practices
  • Lead and facilitate agile ceremonies, including iteration planning, review, and retrospectives
  • Assess and coach the team to higher levels of performance, tracking acceleration metrics
  • Develop and nurture strong partnering relationships with Product Owner/Business Sponsor and stakeholders
  • Influence a wide range of stakeholders to remove impediments and maximize team output
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in computer engineering, business, Information sciences or other related field
  • 10+ years of IT experience
  • 5+ years of performing hands-on Scrum Master role
  • 7+ years of People Management experience and/or leading large cross-functional/cross-regional teams on major organizational projects, preferably in an agile work environment
  • Project Management experience with a strong understanding of agile project management principles and practices
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Individual may have ScrumMaster Certification (CSM)
