About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Agricultural Labourer to join our team at SANTAN ESTATES (NIAGARA) INC. As a key member of our farm operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient harvesting and processing of our crops.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy crop growth
  • Utilize the technique of hoeing between rows to maintain soil quality
  • Clear fields of wood and stones to prevent damage to equipment
  • Cut and harvest agricultural crops in a timely and efficient manner
  • Hand harvest vegetables and fruits with precision and care
  • Harvest seedlings and pack them for transportation
  • Examine products for quality and readiness for market
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks to maintain a safe and organized work environment
  • Load, unload, and transfer crates, supplies, and farm produce as needed
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in agriculture or a related field is an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks
  • English language proficiency
  • Availability to work 30 hours per week
