Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Propak. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems for our power and process plants.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for power and process plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct ASME pressure part strength and structural calculations related to HRSG/OTSG components.
  • Coordinate the preparation of all calculations required to substantiate the OTSG/WHRU design.
  • Lead on vendor-related issues, including generating specifications and evaluating bids to ensure equipment integration.
  • Prepare technical packages for pressure parts design registration (ASME, PED, etc.).
  • Review internal and customer interface drawings.
  • Disposition of shop non-conformances.
  • Provide input to the overall project schedule by creating and maintaining a schedule for engineering activities.
  • Responsible for reviewing and implementing Engineering Specifications.
  • Prepare progress and budget reports to senior management, including contract risks and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • A graduate of a recognized diploma in Mechanical/Process/Chemical Engineering program.
  • Professional Engineer in good standing.
  • 5+ years' experience in Engineering Design work related to the power, process steam plants.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Sound knowledge of MathCAD.
