Food and Beverage Hospitality Worker II

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Food and Beverage team as a Hospitality Worker II. This casual position offers flexible evening and weekend shifts, with some daytime hours, providing a perfect opportunity for career growth and community engagement in a supportive and engaging environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preparation, distribution, and sale of food and beverages at various City facilities, ensuring work areas are kept neat and clean.
  • Provide direction to Hospitality Workers I and ensure inventory counts are performed and recorded pre and post events.
  • Maintain cash floats, including opening, distributing, making change, and collecting at the end of the day.
  • Responsible for reconciling sales with the point-of-sale system at the close of each day.
  • Ensure patron satisfaction by responding promptly and courteously to requests and concerns.
  • Accept payments from patrons and issue change according to the City's cash handling procedures.
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic beverages in accordance with the Alberta Gaming and Liquor Act.
  • Project a positive image of self and the organization.

Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate flexibility and be available to work a casual schedule, including evening and weekend shifts.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Successful completion of Grade 12 or High School equivalency diploma.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience in the food & beverage service industry, including six (6) months supervisory experience.
  • Legally permitted to serve alcohol and successful completion of Alberta ProServe certification.
