Job Title: Senior ESG Advisor

At NBC, we are committed to advancing ESG integration and promoting sustainable economic growth. As a Senior ESG Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting our mid-size business and corporate clients in achieving their sustainability objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sustainable financing strategies to support clients in reducing their carbon footprint.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to undertake further sustainable finance initiatives and explore opportunities for developing products and providing advice.
  • Contribute to ESG and sustainable finance marketing efforts by supporting Account Managers in their meetings with clients and taking charge of mandates.
  • Help develop a frame of reference for the advancement of financial products (green, social, sustainable, transition, sustainability-related) for a broad spectrum of commercial and public sector clients.
  • Advise the organization and clients on changes in ESG trends, including political and regulatory developments.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of developments in the global sustainable finance market.
  • Provide insightful leadership to clients and internal stakeholders through conferences, training, recommendations, and analyses aligned with the Bank's cross-sector positions.
  • Collaborate with Account Managers, advise them, and mentor them to help them with their business development efforts related to sustainable financing.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, natural science, and environmental studies or sustainable development.
  • Between 5 and 7 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in ESG or sustainable finance/certificates and programs in sustainable development.
  • Master's degree in finance, sustainable development, or environmental sciences, or MBA or other professional designation.
  • Experience working with commercial clients in an advisory capacity.
  • Solid understanding of issues related to ESG and sustainable finance.
  • Leadership and strong ability to influence and bring people together.
  • Sound communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a complex and fast-paced environment.
