Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Route Driver to join our team at Daniels Health. As a Route Driver, you will be responsible for delivering and collecting products and waste containers in accordance with scheduled routes, while providing excellent customer service and ensuring the safe operation of our vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify and communicate minor and major defects to the Transportation Supervisor.
  • Load and unload trucks, securing items to prevent damage and ensuring all materials are properly packaged.
  • Deliver and collect products and waste containers in accordance with scheduled routes, serving customers by understanding and resolving their questions and concerns.
  • Complete daily driver log book using HOS application on mobile device and maintain the cleanliness of the truck cab.
  • Accurately record information on packing slips and manifests, ensuring compliance with TDG Regulations.
  • Maintain safe operation by complying with organization operational policies, procedures, and standards, as well as local driving rules and regulations.
Requirements
  • Class 5 with air license and minimum 12 months verifiable, related behind-the-wheel driving experience.
  • Clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract, dated within the last 30 days.
  • Ability to pass all pre-employment requirements, such as reference check, background check, pre-employment medical test, and driver's road test or equivalent.
  • Ability to safely load and properly block, brace, and secure materials.
  • Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role and establish and maintain relationships with all customers.
