Job Title: Roofing Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Roofing Specialist to join our team at Big Sky North Holdings Ltd. as a key member of our construction team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and single-ply roofing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials, safety protocols, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
  • Repair roofing systems
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the roofing industry
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical stamina to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks
  • Dependability, reliability, and team player skills
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites, and will be required to work at heights, outdoors, and in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be physically fit and able to handle heavy loads and repetitive tasks.
