Job Title: Roofer

We are seeking a skilled Roofer to join our team at Big Sky North Holdings Ltd.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems, including built-up roofing, asphalt shingles, and single-ply roofing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of roofing materials, safety protocols, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install built-up roofing systems using materials such as asphalt saturated felts and hot asphalt and gravel
  • Install or replace asphalt shingles, wood shingles and shakes and masonry or baked clay roofing tiles on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Install single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials, such as modified plastics, elastomeric or other asphaltic compositions
  • Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
  • Repair or replace shingles and shakes on sloped roofs of buildings
  • Repair or replace single-ply roofing systems
  • Repair roofing systems
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework and other working platforms
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Fall Arrest Protection Training Course
  • Ability to work at heights, outdoors, and in a fast-paced environment
  • Physically demanding work, including bending, crouching, kneeling, and handling heavy loads
Working Conditions:

The successful candidate will work in a variety of locations, including construction sites, and will be required to work at heights and in outdoor environments. The work will be physically demanding and will require the ability to lift heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment.
