About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Research Specialist to join our team at the University of British Columbia. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge research projects in mental health and substance use.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct statistical analysis of various data sources, including randomized controlled trials, survey data, and administrative data.
  • Develop and facilitate database development to support research projects.
  • Lead and coordinate data access and management of data files and systems.
  • Conceptualize research questions and plan analysis.
  • Write research reports, manuscripts, and grant applications.
  • Oversee quality control of data sets and identify inconsistencies.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements
  • Post-graduate degree in Statistics or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of related experience in research analysis or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming packages such as R, STAT, SAS, etc.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
