Job Title: Occupational Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic Access CAMH team. As a member of our interprofessional team, you will play a critical role in the coordination and screening of referrals to CAMH outpatient programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and screen referrals to CAMH outpatient programs
  • Provide client and family support to callers of our public facing phone line
  • Obtain collateral information and conduct phone screens
  • Provide crisis intervention and support as needed
  • Liaise with Access CAMH and other CAMH programs, community agencies, and practitioners to coordinate care for clients
  • Contribute to program development and provide education support to students
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (or a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy plus a Master's degree in OT, Rehab Sciences or a related field)
  • Three (3) years of experience working with individuals experiencing mental health and or addiction issues
  • Knowledge of DSM V diagnostic criteria, psychotropic medication, psychosocial rehabilitation principles, crisis intervention, case management, and recovery
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
