Job Title: Executive Director, VCH Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Partnerships

Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead its Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain Partnerships team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to optimize supply chain management across VCH and partnered health authorities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic partnerships with vendors/suppliers and clients to drive business growth and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Oversee health authority-wide departments for Strategic Sourcing and Client Relations, including Food Services and Environmental Services.
  • Provide direction to VCH's in-house distribution and logistics teams.
  • Represent VCH on various governance structures at local, regional, and provincial levels.
  • Effectively consult with the Ministries of Health and Management Services to influence public procurement policies and practices.
  • Support, advise, and direct designated leaders and staff in the planning and management of assigned areas.
Requirements:
  • 10-12 years' experience in progressively more complex and senior management/leadership roles in large multi-site organizations.
  • Extensive knowledge of private industry best practices and BC healthcare industry, Public Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Capital Acquisition, and Supply Management.
  • Superior knowledge of strategic sourcing/supply chain and the healthcare environment.
