Electrical Systems Integration Expert, Security and Healthcare Division

About This Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Designer to join our team in the Security and Healthcare Technology division. This role will involve working on large design builds and collaborating with our Subject Matter Expert team.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, assemble, and maintain various electronic systems, including Nurse Call, RTLS, Audio, Video, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, Telecommunication, and Video Surveillance.
- Act as a subject matter expert resource for Project Managers and mentor junior team members to assist with technical difficulties or issues.
- Inspect project sites and provide accurate estimates of required equipment and time.
- Maintain and complete accurate as-builts and system documentation for projects.
- Train end users on system operations.
- Develop and implement solutions to resolve interfacing or intercommunication problems between disparate systems.
- Commission and configure hardware and software for deployment/installation.
- Create and provide internal technical training resources and sessions for Houle team members.
Your Experience and Skills
- Recognized training in multiple relevant security/healthcare systems and products, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
- Familiarity with multiple platforms, such as Genetec, Kantech, Lenel, Milestone, Ascom Telligence, GuardRFID, or Sonitor.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with strong technical expertise in related systems. Electronics background is an asset.
- Experience in large design build projects, including hospitals.
- Experience with integration and middleware engines in the security/healthcare product space.
- Familiarity with SNMP, BACNET IP, MODBUS, and other platform-agnostic messaging protocols.
- Knowledge of programming languages, including C#, Python, and T-SQL.
- Knowledge of web-based technologies, protocols, and languages, including API, REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, ISS, Web servers, JSON, XML, and SQL.
- Able to work in various government institutions and willing to travel and work in other regions for short periods of time.

Salary Range
$80,000 - $100,000 per year, plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
