Senior Architect Systems Designer, Security and Healthcare Technology Expert

About this Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect Systems Designer to join our team at Houle Electric Canada in the Security and Healthcare Technology division. This role will be a key contributor to our Subject Matter Expert team, working on various electronic systems and projects.
Your Responsibilities
- Design, install, assemble, service, troubleshoot, and maintain various electronic systems, including Nurse Call, RTLS, Audio, Video, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, Telecommunication, and Video Surveillance.
- Act as a subject matter expert resource for Project Managers and mentor junior team members to assist with technical difficulties or issues.
- Inspect potential project sites and provide accurate estimation of required equipment and time.
- Maintain and complete accurate as-builts and all system documentation for projects.
- Train end users on the operations of provided systems.
- Develop and implement solutions to resolve interfacing or intercommunication problems between disparate systems.
- Commission and configure hardware and software for deployment/installation.
- Create and provide internal technical training resources and sessions for Houle Electric Canada team members.
Your Experience and Skills
- Recognized training in more than one relevant security/healthcare system and products, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
- Certification in more than one of the following platforms: Genetec, Kantech, Lenel, Milestone, Ascom Telligence, GuardRFID, or Sonitor.
- Minimum 5-7 years working in a similar role, with strong technical expertise in related systems. Electronics background also an asset.
- Experience in large build projects, including P3 Hospitals.
- Experience with integration and middleware engines in the security/healthcare product space.
- Familiarity with SNMP, BACNET IP, MODBUS, and other platform agnostic messaging protocols.
- Knowledge of various programming and computer languages, including C#, Python, and T-SQL.
- Knowledge of web-based technologies, protocols, and languages/mechanisms, including API, REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, ISS, Web servers, JSON, XML, and SQL.
- Knowledge of various networking protocols and technologies.
- Ability to work in various government institutions and willingness to travel and work in other regions for short periods of time.
Salary Range
$80,000 - $100,000 per year, plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and overall match to the position offered.
