Senior Systems Designer, Security and Healthcare Technology Expert

About this role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Designer to join our team in the Security and Healthcare Technology division. As a key member of our Subject Matter Expert team, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and maintaining various electronic systems, including Nurse Call, RTLS, Audio, Video, Paging, Intercom, Security/Access Control, Telecommunication, and Video Surveillance.
Your responsibilities
- Work remotely and on customer sites to design, install, and maintain electronic systems.
- Act as a subject matter expert resource for project managers and mentor junior team members.
- Inspect project sites and provide accurate estimates of required equipment and time.
- Maintain and complete accurate as-builts and system documentation.
- Train end users on system operations.
- Develop and implement solutions to resolve interfacing or intercommunication problems between disparate systems.
- Commission and configure hardware and software for deployment/installation.
- Create internal technical training resources and sessions.
Your experience and skills
- Recognized training in security/healthcare systems and products, including access control, CCTV, and intrusion detection.
- Familiarity with security/healthcare platforms, such as Genetec, Kantech, Lenel, Milestone, Ascom Telligence, GuardRFID, or Sonitor.
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in a similar role, with strong technical expertise in related systems.
- Experience in large design build projects, including hospitals.
- Experience with integration and middleware engines in the security/healthcare product space.
- Familiarity with SNMP, BACNET IP, MODBUS, and other platform-agnostic messaging protocols.
- Knowledge of programming languages, such as C#, Python, and T-SQL.
- Knowledge of web-based technologies, protocols, and languages, including API, REST, SOAP, HTTP/HTTPS, ISS, Web servers, JSON, XML, and SQL.

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, plus a competitive total compensation package.
