Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Co-ordinate Activities

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed in their roles.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.

Ensure Quality Control

Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and address any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

Manage Schedules and Reports

Establish work schedules, prepare and submit reports, and maintain accurate records of staff performance and customer feedback.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years, and 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Work Environment

Noisy, hot work environment, with a fast-paced environment and tight deadlines.

Physical Demands

Combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods, and handling heavy loads.

Personal Suitability

Client focus, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, team player, initiative, dependability, accurate, judgement, and reliability.

Work Setting

Our food service department is a busy and dynamic environment, with a team of 3-4 people. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food products.
