Job Summary

The Permitting Specialist will play a key role in the development and management of permit applications and permitting processes to support the construction, commissioning, and operational phases of the Woodfibre LNG Project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead or support the development of regulatory permitting applications and amendments at the federal, provincial, and municipal levels.
  • Support annual reviews of and the implementation of discipline-specific environmental management plans for construction, and development of operational environmental management plans.
  • Manage and work collaboratively with the Government and External Relations Team to advance key permit strategy elements in support of external engagement and consultation.
  • Support relationships with external parties including regulatory agencies, Indigenous Groups, and stakeholders as it relates to the regulatory activities of the Project.
  • Participate in implementing the compliance management system to track and ensure compliance with Project regulatory and environmental commitments and conditions.

Requirements

  • University Degree in an environmental discipline.
  • At least 5 years' experience in a permitting role for large natural resource or infrastructure projects in Western Canada.
  • Exceptional research, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies at Municipal, Provincial and Federal levels.
