Job Title: Intermediate Permitting Specialist

About the Role:

Hatfield Consultants is seeking a skilled Intermediate Permitting Specialist to join our Water Resource Group. As a key member of our team, you will provide expert advice on environmental requirements, permitting processes, and regulatory compliance for mining and water-related projects in British Columbia.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance on local, provincial, and federal environmental regulations and permitting requirements
• Coordinate and integrate information from multidisciplinary technical teams
• Review materials for adequacy with respect to regulatory submissions related to permitting
• Support meetings and presentations with clients and regulators
• Ensure project compliance with schedules and budgets

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree or higher in an appropriate field of study and professional registration (or eligibility for a relevant professional designation)
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting permitting and regulatory compliance of mining and/or water-related projects
• Experience in project management, multidisciplinary projects, and environmental impact assessment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and analytical skills applicable to study design and statistical analysis or environmental data
