Achieving excellence in sport governance requires exceptional leadership and strategic vision. As our Executive Director, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our organization, leveraging your expertise to develop and implement policies and procedures that elevate our programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage the daily operations of our sport or recreational organization, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality outcomes.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, making informed financial decisions that align with our organizational goals.
- Negotiate business contracts and arrange sponsorships from public and private organizations, fostering strong relationships and securing vital resources.
- Act as a spokesperson for our organization, effectively communicating our mission and values to diverse stakeholders.
- Meditate labour disputes and grievances, applying sound judgement and conflict resolution skills to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Develop policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and promoting best practices within our organization.
- Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, demonstrating a commitment to employee well-being and engagement.
- 5-10 years of experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in the sport or recreation sector.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful strategies, achieving tangible results and growth.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex business contracts and agreements, securing vital resources and partnerships.
- Sound knowledge of labour relations, employment law, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed financial decisions and drive operational efficiency.
The estimated annual salary for this position is $650,000-$850,000, reflecting the importance of this role in driving our organization's success. Working ConditionsThis is an on-the-road job, requiring frequent travel and flexibility. You will be expected to work under pressure, managing multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and a high level of productivity.
