Financial Planning and Analysis Expert

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Financial Planning and Analysis expert to join our team at the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation. As a key member of our Chief Financial Officer Team, you will play a vital role in supporting our mission to improve housing affordability through financial foresight and legal insight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end reconciliations, reports, and notes to assist with the preparation of the Corporation's quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and the Pension Plan Annual Report.
- Identify and interpret financial information that supports accounting and reporting activities pertaining to investment portfolios, pension plan, and overall corporate performance.
- Ensure accounting policies and processes are administered appropriately to support the quarterly review and year-end audit of CMHC's financial statements.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on a range of exciting projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improvement. Your expertise will be critical in providing timely and accurate reports to external divisions and other areas within Finance, maintaining continuous communication and co-operation with these divisions and with other Finance staff.
The successful candidate will possess an undergraduate degree in a related field such as accounting, finance, or business administration, along with a minimum of three years of experience in relevant financial, legislative, and regulatory environments. You will also have excellent organizational skills to manage several ongoing and competing projects, as well as the ability to function in a sophisticated technological environment using tools such as spreadsheets, databases, and applications, as well as consolidation and reporting tools.

We offer a comprehensive compensation package, which includes an estimated salary of $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on your level of experience. Our benefits include annual individual performance bonuses, support towards personal and professional growth with training, mentorship, and more. While positions at CMHC require some in-office presence, alternative work arrangements may be considered for Indigenous candidates.
